Abbotts & Delaunay - Corbières A tire d'Aile 2022

Corbières, france

Vineyard Story

Laurent Delaunay, a passionate oenologist and a leading expert on Languedoc wines through his négociant business, Badet Clément & Cie, founded in 1995, represents the fifth generation of a family of Burgundy producers and merchants.

Drawn to the unique potential of the Languedoc terroirs, he acquired Maison Abbotts in 2005. The estate was founded in 1996 in Marseillette by Australian oenologist Nerida Abbott, who was dedicated to producing exceptional wines from the Languedoc-Roussillon region with precision and rigor.

United by their pursuit of excellence and shared passion, these two oenologists now bring their names together in a renewed collection: Abbotts & Delaunay.

Appellation: Corbières

Corbières is located in the Languedoc region, near the Mediterranean coast, with vineyards spread across plains and hills. The Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and mild winters, offers ideal conditions for grape growing.

Corbières AOC wines are primarily blends, featuring grapes like Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, and Mourvèdre. These wines are known for their deep color, rich aromas, and balanced flavors of dark fruit, spice, and herbs. Full-bodied and often with aging potential, Corbières wines reflect the region’s unique terroir.
